99% Internet Business Failure Rate
Why do Internet Businesses have such a ridiculously high failure rate?
Because people give up before they have even given themselves a chance!
And that comes down to having ridiculously high expectations when they start their business.
Why do people expect an Internet Business to be any different to any other business? The internet is no different from the “Real World” and that means that income is created by working.
Well one reason is all the crap and hype that so called Gurus are pedalling.
These guys and gals are NOT gurus, they are just incredibly good sales people (that’s if they actually write they’re own sales pages, which I doubt). Very few of them offer anything of value and those that do provide just enough information that means you have to but the next course to discover the full picture. And the next, and the next, and the next.
The second reason is ourselves.
We all want to find the secret to having money pour into our bank accounts without actually doing any work (that is why we fall for the “guru’s” hype), so even when we find a model that works we want the results now! “Hey this is the internet – this is where we get instant results.”
Erm – No! The only place that income comes before work is in the dictionary!
The third reason is lack of persistence.
If something isn’t working as we expect, we switch to doing something else. So we leave a trail of unfinished attempts, any one of which may have given us massive success if only we had stuck with it.
The fourth reason is not having statistics. If you don’t know what you have achieved then you have no incentive to keep going. Ok so you haven’t made a sale yet, but if you are starting to get visitors then the sales will follow. If you don’t know that you are getting visitors then of course you will give up. Keeping a close eye on your progress is crucial
So how can you be one of the 1%?
Ignore anything that sounds remotely too good to be true.
Find a mentor that you feel you can trust.
Follow their methods without question for 30 / 60 / 90 days before you make a decision. Do not look left or right. Do not question. Follow the program every day.
Check your progress every week (more often than that and you are wasting your time and falling into the impatience trap).
Sadly the 99% will ignore this advice and the 1% already know that persistence is the only way to succeed. So this post is really a waste of time, except that my conscience is clear.
